Too much reading makes it rather boring for action oriented players.. An entirely unnecessary sequel. It ends up creating more questions instead of answering any. There are to many characters in this game. This means that some of the newer characters to not have enough time to be properly fleshed out, and they end up just being ridiculous characatures. There are still lots bugs in this game. You are better off just playing the original, and ignoring this one.. Don't play this if you didn't play the first game before, because it throw a major spoiler in your face right after the prologue. With a title like that, you would expect a prequel, but it's not.The interface is a nightmare, everything about it is clunky and the devs tries to pass it as "optimised for a controller". It's a bold faced lie, since the game is optimised for a tablet. When you use the controller, it's up to the games whim on what hotspot of interest it decide to focus, and when you use the mouse, navigating the hotspot or the inventory is tedious, as the whole game is designed to swipe and move everything with your finger, as if you're playing on a smartphone or a tablet.Combining object can be weird. For example, you can use the antenna on the remote and it makes a new object, but god forbids you use the remote on the antenna, it's too silly...Later, you have a message and a leather tube. You can't combine the message and the tube, but lo and behold, you can combine the tube and the message.Due to the poor optimisation, i can't see part of my inventory, and i had to click on an invisible item to resolve a puzzle. Also, if your controller is plugged in, you can't use the mouse, the game don't swap control schemes.I wouldn't recommend.. The yesterday games have changed my life and colour all other games for me. Dark and story driven, hard but not too hard and the puzzles make sense! I love this game (nothing will ever beat the first) Buy this game, play this game and learn all about our main man.. The game has a lot of negative sides altogether, but the studio has outdone a number of similar titles when it comes to experience story-wise. Good job on the Memento-like time continuum, guys!Cons:Terrible for a point-and-click game mouse controls (very, very annoying)Somewhat linear - what you get, you must use asap. Some items never get used or are needlessly used in a dialogue without actual difference to the storyRead the achievements before staring, so you can know what's in store. I am not an achievements chaser, but I got annoyed about one thing which I could have gotten if I was not so careful :PSuffers from the "make things as easy to manipulate as possible" syndrome - important numbers you notice will get inserted automatically, so you won't have to remember them (not all, though ;) )Pros:Excellent storySweet endingLikeable charactersA lot of background stories, even for the secondary and tertiary charactersExcellent ideas with a good realisationOverall, as a devoted point-and-click fan, I am annoyed by the mouse controls, but the story is so much better than the others recent games of the genre that I am willing to forgive this bad idea.. Great game - excellent adult story and graphics, good music and sound effect, very good voices, but the game struggles as classic point and click adventure because it was made with gamepad in mind and it really hurts the controls. You can get used to it after some time, but it it a bit clumsy, so I recommend controller if you own it. Otherwise highly reccomended game from me.. I'm really glad I played this game. Gorgeous visuals with an intriguing plot that now makes me want to pick up the preceding game in the series. The puzzle solving is unique in that you need to combine items with "ideas" or "concepts" to progress - you need to know WHY you're doing something, instead of blindly using items on the world. The puzzles themselves were logical and didn't feel forced into the game for the sake of adding more puzzles. Between the puzzles being doable and the ez-mode hotspot highlighter, if you still think the game is too hard, you're too dumb to be playing point-and-click adventures.. I really enjoyed this game! The story is interesting, and most of the characters are compelling. The gameplay is point & click, but with nice graphics and more flexibility than most.. It's a okay game. It stands somewhat alone from the original title, Yesterday, but I highly recommend playing the original first as this is a direct continuation of that one. Unfortunately I'm getting a bug which causes red text to appear on screen in rows and rows in spanish about how item not found and filepaths it looks in. It's a huge bother, and makes the game nigh-unplayable since it takes about all of the screen. I've tried re-downloading, checking cache, verifying files, but nothing helps. Right now I can play for about 40 minutes before it shows up.Just be cautious about buying it, but do try if you're generally lucky with bugs.
